Swing Table

Chair the meeting

For designer Chris Duffy, the idea’s the thing. Seeing no reason to stop playing because we grow old (thanks for that, George Bernard Shaw), this eponymous London-based design house created the Swing Table – a gracefully structural way of jazzing-up everything from meetings to mealtimes. Inspired by emerging production methods, Duffy London creates interior pieces to eco-sound standards for the most pragmatic of

motivations – using local manufacturers, recycled packaging and energy-efficient lighting for reasons of low-cost, speed and straightforward communication. The Swing Table is produced using steel and walnut from Stewardship Council managed forests, and is intended to function as something of a room within a room. Mostly though, it’s just a fun way to pass the times you have to sit down. Impromptu meeting, anyone?
