Ink and Spindle

Prints charming

If digital design’s our bread and butter, fancy-schmancy textile design is totally a jam we’re keen to spread on top. Melbourne-based Ink and Spindle’s charming creations are billed as ‘hand-printed designs on ethically sourced textiles’, and boy do they surpass our metaphorical preserve needs and then some. As well as using organic, sustainable and fairtrade cloth, Ink and Spindle utilise water-based and solvent-free inks, recycled or biodegradable packaging and a separation system that keeps rogue nasties away from our waterways.

Offering up a range that includes cushions, ottomans, pouches and bags, the team has also collaborated with the delightful Bee Eco family on beeswax food wraps that remove the need for all that nasty cling-wrap. On the off-chance you can’t find the product of your dreams (and I mean, of course you can, right?), they also offer custom fabrics – orderable by the meter and ready to be turned into the cushion/tablecloth/drapey toga thing of your choosing.
