Chance Bags

The jean genie

When Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss started to manufacture jeans in 1873, they could hardly have predicted their future ubiquity. Nowadays, while most of us have a sizeable collection of denim languishing at the back of our wardrobes, Australian designer Miranda Chance is on a one-woman mission to make more of the surplus.

Creating a collection of casual bags of all shapes and sizes, Chance Bags use reclaimed denim to upcycle existing materials. The result is a range of totes, purses and shoulder bags that sees no compromise between looks and ethics – and it’s the combination of thoughtful production with covetable design that floats our boat.
