Lazy Wood Slice

Pining for

Normally, damaged goods leave us feeling blue since the end result is waste, but Lazy Wood Slice is shifting the hue over to the green side of things. The idea is to take marred and damaged trees, slice ’em up, and create super-handy and gorgeously bespoke furniture pieces such as stools, tables, shelves and hanger lamps.

Designed by creative director Davide Magni, the Lazy Wood Slice series is just so darn practical, and serves as a lesson in perspective regarding waste, recycling, art and utility. Although they’re only available in concept form, the idea itself is powerful – and there’s no shortage of beautifully dappled and damaged things in the world that we might make use of.
