Novancia Business School

Building blocks

In 2011, Paris’ Novancia Business School underwent a refurb that’s a pretty much perfect nod to the past and present. While preserving its stunning 18th century origins, glass shutters have been constructed, which revolve depending on the weather – to let the light in or keep it out.

Redesigned by AS.architecture-studio, the build is reminiscent of the mechanical apertures that make up their Arab World Institute (AWI) – demonstrating the timelessness of elemental design. Ever since AWI, we’re forever keeping our eyes peeled for the latest AS.architecture-studio stroke of genius.
