Planter

Water you think?

There are some designs that always give us a slight tingle of what lies ahead. We love a good future-tingler and Joey Roth’s self-watering Planter well and truly ticks our futuristic box. It’s made from Terracotta and Zisha – a naturally porous earthenware that allows the water to slowly seep out to the soil, i.e. water our herbage for us.

The industrial designer’s creation is inspired by an ancient irrigation tool that farmers still use to conserve water in parched places. For those of us with busy lifestyles, we can now grow up to three herbs or six succulents (hmm) in a Planter and feel guilt-free if we forget to water them. It’s a win-win.
