Twig Case

Make the papers

On paper, Twig Case sound like they produce the most eco-friendly iPhone cases in the world. Here’s why. The intricate armour is made from a paper composite called Richlite, which is put together in the Americas but produced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified trees from Brazil and softwoods from Sweden (innuendo anyone?).

The FSC also approve of their locally-made packaging, making these guys the Ned Flanders of iPhone cases. Both with a background in design, John Woodland (fitting, eh?) and Jon Lucca founded Twig Case in late 2011. Their wood is pulped, dyed, layered and baked before the designs are laser-engraved. If you also imagined sharks with laser beams attached to their heads – well, one can only dream.
