Free books! Need we say more? This spaceship-esque structure houses unwanted reads from a local library currently undergoing a refurb – ready to be exchanged and loved by some new eyes. Known as Story Tower, it’s a shelter, hangout and somewhere to upskill all in one.

Designed and built by the students and tutors of RTU’s Summer School, it boasts a recycled juice carton roof and locally-sourced soft timber frame. While it’s only temporary until the main library re-opens, Story Tower is a smart use of space and a sublime way to spend the summer.
